Wayne enjoyed woodworking and fishing and often enjoyed watching different sports on TV.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marguerite Byers; his children, Michael Byers (April), Susan Tripp (Michael), and David Byers; and his grandchildren, Christopher Blankenship, Stephen Blankenship, and Maya Byers.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Byers, and infant grandson, Andrew Byers.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on August 1, 2025, at Rosedale Funeral Home from 11am to the start of funeral services at 12 pm. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Hospice of Panhandle, Parkinson's Foundation, American Cancer Society, or a cause of your choice.
