Emma F. Eagle

Emma Dow Franklin Eagle, 102, of Martinsville passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019. She was born on July 6, 1916 in Franklin County, VA, to the late Charlie Perry Franklin and Claudie May Brock Franklin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Eagle; brother, Perry W. Franklin; half-brother, Charlie Franklin; step-brother, John Morton Crutchfield; sisters, Esther Mae Richardson, Magdaline F. Hawks; and step-sisters, Lula C. Barrow and Mary C. Jerral. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ellen Richardson and husband, Thomas (deceased); her son, Carl J. Eagle and wife, Shirley; six grandchildren, Wendi R. Hare, Torri R. Keene, Tiffani R. Austin, Tomara R. Spencer, Paige E. Belcher, and Timothy K. Eagle; and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Eagle was a member of Kearfott Memorial Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 25, 2019 at McKee-Stone Funeral Home of Martinsville, officiated by Rev. Ronald Edwards. Visitation will be held at 12:30 PM prior to the service. Interment will be at Roselawn Burial Park on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 11:00AM, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Michael Hatfield.
