

Allan was born on December 20, 1965, in Quezon City, Manila, Philippines. In 1989, Allan proudly began his service in the United States Navy, dedicating himself to serving his country. Following his military career, he applied his expertise in procurement and supply chain management as a Department of Defense contractor in Iraq and later contributed his skills to Boeing and Optum Care Washington. Throughout his professional journey, Allan demonstrated commitment, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
Allan treasured life’s simple pleasures. He cherished moments with his wife Emily, his daughter Heide, and his faithful dog Riley. A devoted admirer of 80s music and classic films, he found joy in the rhythms and stories of that era. His passion for cars reflected his appreciation for craftsmanship and style, while his guitars brought him peace and creative expression. Calm and content, Allan found true happiness not in possessions but in the warmth of family and friends. His unwavering Catholic faith was a guiding light and anchor throughout his life, a source of comfort and strength.
Allan is survived by his loving wife Emily Cortes; his daughter Heide; his sister BelindaJoy Cortes; his brother Carlo Cortes; his sister-in-law Rena Cortes; his nieces Carlotta Cortes, Charlotte Cortes, and Cagalli Cortes; his nephew Ralph Cortes; his cousin Sharon Parker; his dog Riley; and extended family who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Lorna Cortes, and may they now be joyfully reunited.
There will be a rosary service held at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home in Marysville at 1:00 pm on July 22, 2025. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marysville at 10:30 am on July 23, 2025. His family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Mary Catholic Church in his memory.
Allan’s warmth, kindness, faith, and quiet strength left an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew him. His generous spirit and unwavering love brought joy to family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. Though he is no longer with us in body, his memory will live on in our hearts, inspiring us every day. We find peace in knowing that he now rests peacefully in God’s eternal care, embraced by His infinite love and grace.
