Gary Stephen Pettis

Gary S. Pettis passed away at his home in Marysville, WA on February 10th. He was born in Williston, ND on January 14, 1946 where he grew up as the oldest of 3 boys. He worked for Boeing until a layoff; then returned to college at the University of Washington where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration. After passing his C.P.A. exams he started his own C.P.A. firm and opened an office in the Jubie Building in Marysville where he continued to work until the time of his passing.

Gary was a member of various organizations over the years in Marysville: Jaycees, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, YMCA Board of Directors, Moose Lodge, St Mary’s Catholic Church, and Strawberry Festival.

Gary is survived by his children: Sandra Pettis (Sedro Woolley), Timothy Pettis (Arlington), Randy Pettis & wife Claudia (Seattle), Alexandria Russo (Marysville) and Mackenzie Russo (Marysville); his grandchildren Nathan, Nikolas, Emma, Madeline, and Audrey; his brothers: Robert Pettis & wife Gaye (Mill Creek), Dean Pettis & wife Betty (Billings, MT); step-father Louis Siverling (Minot, ND), step-brother Danny Siverling & wife Carol (Edmonds), step-sister Susan Olson & husband Bert (Minot, ND). He also leaves many nieces/nephews, cousins, aunts/uncles.

Gary enjoyed many hobbies which he shared with family and friends – hunting, fishing, traveling, football, cooking, gardening, and even a game of poker now and then. He will be missed by all of his loving family and friends.
