Joe Stanford Medcalf

Corky was born December 24, 1947, in Mindenmines MO. To mother Margaret “Lizzie” and Father Joe Medcalf. His Older sister Georgeanna Callaway and younger brother Tom Medcalf.

The family moved to Seattle WA in 1966, Corky attended Bothell High School where he played basketball and lettered in football. He met his wife to be Annette on the summer solstice in 1967 and they were married March 14th, 1969, until her passing in September 2020.

Together for over 53 years, they had 3 children Kalonie Medcalf, Theresa Medcalf, Elizabeth “Mimi” Bensch. Grandchildren Kailene, Mayson, Zoie. Great grandchildren; Joey, Jay-cee, Rozie. Although many called him dad and grandpa.

Corky had a love of animals, many beloved pets including racoons, squirrels, cats and dogs. He would whistle for the eagles, he would howl for the coyotes, and he would chitter for the racoons. He loved hunting, fishing and watching any kind of sports, football, baseball, basketball, hockey, Nascar, and bull riding.

There will be a viewing Monday January 19th 2026 at the Schaefer- Shipman funeral home in Marysville WA, at 12 o’clock noon, burial at Mission Beach Cemetery in Tulalip to follow.
