

Born in Everett, WA on September 29, 1931 to Adrian and Hazel Erickson, Lawrence attended Everett schools graduating in 1949 from Everett High. In 1950 Lawrence joined the Navy and served as a medic. He was honorably discharged in 1954.
On July 4th of 1955 he married the love of his life, Marlene (Tudy) Scheller, of Mukilteo, WA, where they happily raised three children.
Lawrence was very involved in his community. He was a Little League Coach, Cub Scout Master, a volunteer Fireman, EMT and was appointed to the Mukilteo Planning Commision. He was an Elder and Sunday School teacher at Mukilteo Presbyterian Church.
After 36 years, he retired from Scott Paper Company where he was a Supervisor.
Lawrence and his wife moved to Marysville, WA where he began a new chapter in his life. He enjoyed driving tractors at Biringer Farms and driving school buses for Marysville School District. He also was a member of Marysville Seniors Against Crime.
Lawrence loved family gatherings and spending time with friends. He always managed to find someone to talk to when he walked his beloved dog, Benji, around Glenwood Mobile Estates where he had many friends.
Lawrence was a true gentleman. He never met a stranger. He smiled at everyone he met and called them friend.
He leaves behind him, his beloved wife, "Sweet Pea" Toots; his two sons, Larry, of Anchorage, AK, Jerry (Diana), of Marysville; and daughter, Cindy (Tim Rudolph), of Marysville. He had eight grandchildren, Amy (Patrick McCluskey), Nicole, Kelsey, Justin, Krystina, Lori and Beth; and one great-grandchild, Isabel. He also leaves behind his brother, Robert (Clydene), of Wisconsin; and brother, Gene, of California. Also numerous relatives and good friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Adrian and Hazel; sister, Delores Peterson; and two brothers, Richard and James.
A memorial celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on August 13, at Glenwood Mobile Estates. The address is 5900 64th St. NE in Marysville. Richard Oates will be officiating.
