Lola Annette Farley of Marysville, Washington Passed away on the 3rd of March 2024. Lola was born in Sims, North Dakota on May 25th, 1935, to Clifford and Julia Leach. During her childhood the family moved to Ismay Montana, where Lola completed High School as class Valedictorian, (Her only other classmate was the Salutatorian.) Following High School, she moved to Miles City, Montana where she took a secretarial job and met Dean Farley her future husband of over 60 years.
During her life with Dean they had a daughter, Brenda Lee and a son Greg. They were blessed with the opportunity to include Wallace Farley and Daniel Dixon as part of our family. It also needs to be noted that Lola and Dean included in their lives many young adults that needed a family environment in which to grow.
Lola took on many different roles throughout her life. While her children were young, she was a "stay at home" mom. She then moved on to several different Office Assistant positions that included being a Town Clerk, Insurance Office Assistant, and a Legal Secretary. But her favorite job brought her back around to raising her grandkids throughout the 80's and 90's. (She always loved being a mother and was the best grandmother.) Her latest enjoyment was volunteering as the Librarian for her retirement community, Windsor Square in Marysville.
Lola was preceded in death by her parents, (Cliff and Julia), her husband (Dean Farley), her brothers (Donovan Leach, Russell Leach, and Roger Leach), and her daughter (Brenda Lee Anderson). She is survived by her brother (Gale Leach), brother-in-law (Tom Farley), sister-in-law (Pearl Leach), sons (Wally, Dan, and Greg), 6 grandkids (Craig, Suzie, Julie, Cody, Brian, and Tyson), 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Lola's niece, Teresa Borseth, for the self-less time spent with Lola both prior to and during this tough time.
A service for Lola will be held at Schaefer Shipman Funeral Home in Marysville, on Saturday, March 23rd at 1:00 PM. Lola and Dean will be inurned at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington
