Just found out Mark passed away in December and wanted to tell you how sorry I am to hear of your loss. I have many great memories of "Hatz" from our Central days and from our time at St. Mary's. Hatz was a good friend and really help me fit in when I transferred to Central in our junior year...I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts.

Sharon - you may not remember me. I played football with Mark at Central Catholic & I counted him as one of my friends. He took me under his wing, so to speak, when I first arrived our sophomore year at CCH & we became friends when I joined the team. I always thought he was strong person on & off the field. Victor Gonzalez sent me a list of our classmates from the class of 1968. I regret not reaching out to Mark over the years. I discovered today of Mark's passing in December of 2017 when I googled his name & I wanted to offer my most profound condolences. I read many of the eulogies from friends and colleagues & I realized that he was respected and loved. The Mark I knew will be sorely missed. If you go to the CCH yearbook from 1968 you will see me as #88 in the team photo. Again, I hope

Sharon, I was sad to hear of Mark's passing. Greg Ripps notified us as we prepared for our 50th Central reunion. I remember him as a kind friend during my high school years. I will keep y'all in my prayers and we will remember Mark at the reunion. I will especially contact Tommy Heady. God bless you.

Sharon,  we were so sorry to hear of Mark's passing.  Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this most difficult time.  Though it has been many years since we were together, memories and friendships will never be forgotten.  

Aunt Sharon, I am so very sorry for your loss and we are praying for you and your family during this extremely difficult time. Uncle Mark was always kind, warm and eager to catch up with the family when he visited San Antonio. I know that he will be truly missed.

I was shocked to hear of Mark's untimely passing.. It is with great sadness that I pass on my deepest regrets for not making time to see him more often.Mark's life was full of accomplishments and caring for his family.It is hard to understand why tragic things like this happen to such good people. His surviving sons are a testament to his parenting skills. I have nothing but  fond memories of the precious hours I was fortunate enough to spend  with Mark..he left this world a better place ,leaving his three sons who inherited his qualities.While the world mourns his passing, and a widow weeps,Heaven rejoices with his arrival.Hope to see you again Mark.

Mark was incredibly welcoming to me when I started at the EWPCF in August. I believe it was my second day that I had a chance to have my first conversation with him, and it was immediately apparent how much he cared for the people in his life. He spoke highly of our coworkers, and made me feel at home. 

Mark and his family are in my thoughts. Rest in peace.

Thank you for sharing your husband/dad/grandfather with me over the past 8 years at the City of Everett Water Pollution Control Facility. He was a very kind, encouraging and generous man. He referred to me, in the lab, as being part of the "A" team. I told him it was more like the "F troop". He joked about making Christmas cards from the protozoa pictures that I took with the lab microscope and would print the ones that he thought were "really special". I will miss seeing his smiling face every morning in the locker room as we were preparing for work. He reminded me often that we had the same anniversary and talked very highly about his beautiful wife. It was indeed a pleasure to know and work with him.

I have had the fortune to work with Mark over the last seven years. There are few people in the world of his caliber. He was dedicated and generous. He loved his family and spoke of you often. Mark was very proud of his boys. Mark will be missed here at work for years to come. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Stephen Grellet wrote, I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.

Mark will be missed.  I knew him during his time with the City of Everett as a stellar wastewater treatment operator and as a kindred spirit in that we both retired from the US Navy.  Mark took his responsibilities seriously and was well respected by his peers.   My condolences to his wife and family.  Fair Winds and Following Seas Sailor

My deepest condolences Sharon.  It was an absolute pleasure working with Mark over the last 8 year.  Sharing sea stories and life lessons and working with a true professional.  He will be sorely missed.

Mark was one of the sweetest, kind hearted people that I have met at the City of Everett. He felt like a kindred spirit when we found that we both were Texas transplants and life long Cowboy fans. He had a bit of that southern charm that will be missed and it seems so apt that I would learn of his passing when I am wearing my cowboy boots. God speed, Mark.

Mark, we have had many conversations over the past few years, but I never got the chance to thank you.  Thank you for welcoming me on my first day at work, thank you for your words of wisdom, thank you for your kindness and generosity.  Thank you for your friendship.  Thank you for the "Mornin' Sunshine" greetings.  I am a much richer person for having known you.  Rest in Peace, my friend.  You are dearly missed.

Will always remember you being an awesome neighbor, and such a kind man! Our thoughts and prayers are with your precious family at such a very sad time! I enjoyed our 9 wonderful years of friendship and working together in a civilian job with the City of Everett. Mark, you have always been an awesome mentor in life experience and technical knowledge, your expertise and willingness to help is always noted and greatly appreciated among us. Celebrate your new life in heaven Mark, we'll miss you.

I sincerely hope that you all will find solace knowing that Mark will live on in the memory of many.
