

Born May 7, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2017 at her residence in Marysville, Washington.
A retired analyst at The Boeing Company, she attended High School at Redford High, class of 1958, in Detroit, Michigan and attended college at Michigan State University.
Her heart for the Lord was foundational and she shared that heart faithfully with those at The First Baptist Church of Marysville (Damascas Road Church).
Our mother, grandma and cherished friend, loved reading, knitting, gardening (flowers), music (dancing), traveling, boating, being outdoors (preferably somewhere near the ocean), donating time at the Providence Hospital gift shop, the Puget Sound Blood Center, to friends, family, and those in need, and loved spending time with her sorority sisters, the Laureate Beta XI.
Preceded in death by: Thomas and Ellen Starr (parents); Richard Starr (brother).
Survived by her children: Michael Anderson (Stephanie; Kevin and Laura Dean), Deborah (Anderson) Leinbach (Scott; Kirk, Keith and Kendra Hurliman), Pamela (Anderson) Brown (Bob; Nichele Harp, Natalie Smith, Megan Huizingh and Ellie), Robert Anderson (Marissa and Aubrei Lord), Joel Anderson (Tavia), Jennifer (Anderson) Starr. Seventeen great grandchildren; four nephews and nieces: Richard Starr II, Donna Starr-Gimeno, Lisa (Starr) Tester, Kevin Starr and her beloved cousin, Irwin Starr.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the American Cancer Society.
