Michael Paul "Mike" Severson went to heaven at home, in Marysville, WA. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Mike's life was marked by faith, unwavering kindness, and a joyful spirit that touched all who knew him.
Born in Everett, WA, Mike grew up in Snohomish Co. He graduated from Marysville High School in 1972 and studied drama at Eastern Washington University.
Mike shared a memorable life with his wife Marcia and his two wonderful children: Patrick Severson (wife Anne); and Jennifer Milham (husband Chris). Mike was a proud grandfather to Joshua, Elizabeth, Luke, and Julia Severson; and Avery and Marcus Milham.
He had a loving sister, Kelly and a brother, Perry, along with cousins, a niece, nephews, and many extended family members. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Mark and LaVerle Severson.
Mike was an active member of Generations Church where he served faithfully on the worship team, playing guitar and as a member of the board of elders. His presence in the church community was one of encouragement and quiet strength.
Mike's passions were many-he found joy in music through playing guitar and singing; he had a flair for drama. In his younger years, he loved exploring nature through hiking and skiing. He enjoyed seeing new places. He traveled in 47 states and 13 European countries. He spent free time watching the Seahawks, Mariners and college sports. He loved movies; Tombstone was #1.
Mike had many medical issues but never complained or let them hold him back. He volunteered, singing weekly to the residents at Warm Beach Senior Community for 24 years; at first by himself, then with his band The Warm Beach Boys.
Those who knew Mike will remember him as kind, honest, generous, gentle-spirited, Godly, loving-and deeply devoted to those around him. His legacy lives on not only through his family but also through the countless lives he touched with his warmth and integrity.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 18, 2025, at 6:30 PM at Generations Community Church 8240 64th St NE Marysville, WA
