It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Noah Alan Davidson, who left this world peacefully on May 23, 2025, at the age of 77.
Born in Charleston, South Carolina, on June 27, 1947, Noah spent the early part of his childhood in Japan before his family settled in Lake Stevens, Washington in 1958. It was there that he built a life rooted in hard work, compassion, and a deep love for animals, nature, and family. He remained in Lake Stevens for more than 40 years, caring for his home and raising a family surrounded by dogs, cows, chickens, pigs, peacocks, and more.
A proud veteran, Noah served in the United States Navy from June 1966 to August 1972. As a Quartermaster aboard a 50-foot Swift Boat during the Vietnam War, he served his country with honor and courage, earning an honorable discharge with the rank of E-5. His military service was a cornerstone of his life, and he remained deeply proud of the time he spent serving his country.
After returning home, he pursued Pre-Veterinary Medicine at Everett Community College (1970–1974) and later earned HVAC certification from North Seattle Community College. In July 1976, he found his true calling as an Animal Control Officer for the City of Marysville—a position he held with dedication and heart until his retirement in 1995 following the birth of his youngest child.
Noah was an outdoorsman at heart who found peace in camping, fishing, and spending time under the open sky. He was also a man of quiet strength, known for his kind spirit, deep loyalty, and unwavering love for his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his four children: Rachel Joanne Scaramozzino (52), Leah Noelle VanDorien (51), Samuel Alan Davidson (30), and Elizabeth Marie Nguyen (28), as well as six beloved grandchildren. He is also survived by one sibling and was preceded in death by two of his siblings, whom he dearly loved and missed.
In the final year of his life, Noah moved to an assisted living facility in Arlington, Washington to be closer to his youngest daughter Elizabeth, who shared a close bond with him and lovingly cared for him. Their relationship was a beautiful testament to the strength of family and the enduring power of love.
Noah was also proud to be 30 years sober, a reflection of his resilience and commitment to growth and healing. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave freely.
A private service will be held in honor of his life, with military honors to commemorate his service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to a local animal shelter or veterans' organization.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
