Pat was born February 24, 1937 in Yakima WA; passed away peacefully June 14, 2016 in Everett WA at age 79. She is preceded in death by her parents Bern and Margueryte Mercer. Pat graduated Prosser High School in 1955 and earned a degree from Washington State University before moving to Seattle with her husband, Edward Orsborn, to begin their family. She worked at Boeing Everett and soon after was a legal secretary. In the late 1960's she completed training to become a Court Reporter. She began her long career at Snohomish Superior Court in 1971 and eventually became Managing Court Reporter in 1982. She was remarried to Donald Wlazlak on February 11, 1984. Retiring in March 1996, they traveled and scoured the nation for antiques and knickknacks. But her true love was doting over their grandchildren who adored their Nana.
She is survived and sorely missed by her beloved Don “Donald D” Wlazlak; her sisters Marilu Smith and Sheryl Beck; children Mikel Orsborn and Shawn Jenkins; step-children Martin Wlazlak, Tamara Halverson, Dana Wlazlak, and Brian Wlazlak; grandchildren Madison Jones, Chaz Jenkins, and Dominique Jenkins; great granddaughter Hadlee Jones; and numerous loving step-grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
A graveside remembrance service will be held Saturday June 18th at noon at G.A.R. Cemetery 8691 Riverview Rd, Snohomish WA 98290 with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Brookdale Memory Care Facility and Providence Hospice.
Arrangements under the direction of Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, Marysville, WA.
