

Frances was a resident of North Massapequa, New York, by way of Spanish Harlem and Hollis Queens, New York. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, humor, wisdom, patience, kindness and unconditional love.
Frances was a beloved mother to her sons, Jon-Pierre Perez and Nicholas Perez. She cherished her husband of 55 years, the Love of her Life, John Perez who predeceased her in 2025. She was the beloved grandmother to Cosmo Perez and Damian Perez, and a beloved titi to many in her family.
She was the youngest of 6 siblings; Louis, Gloria, Emma, Julie, Carmen, and Ronnie. Her nieces Mary and Sonny were more like sisters to her. They share a true "Ride of Die" vibe, and such a deep Love and countless laughs.
Frances was known for her sharp humor and love of laughter, she loved Salsa, and dancing. She was an amazing cook, whose Puerto Rican and Italian dishes are the stuff of legend. She also loved to travel, and saw the world.
Frances also loved to help and serve others, and worked many years as a teacher, trainer, and mentor with North Shore University Hospital's Vocational Rehabilitation Center, changing countless lives for the better.
She instantly lit up any room she entered with her amazing energy, and was a mother figure and positive example to so many in her family. Her wisdom, laughter, humor and Love of family will resonate through eternity, and her presence here will be greatly missed. Until we meet again.
Visitation will be held at James Funeral Home, 540 Broadway, Massapequa, NY 11758, US, on April 27, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
Burial will take place at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933, US, on April 27, 2026, from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
