GERARD P. HOPKINS, on August 17, 2013 of Fort Myers, Florida. Beloved husband of Mary Hopkins of 29 years of marriage. Loving father of Patricia Hopkins and Kevin (Tanya) Hopkins. Cherished grandfather of Ralph Rivera, Dylan Durand, Gerard Hopkins, and Christina Hopkins. Adored great grandfather of Mason Rivera. Fond brother of the late (Jean McGrath, Muriel Hopkins, Joseph, William, Thomas, and Donald). Gerard was proud to be part of the United States Marine Corps. Also worked as a sales manager. Gerard's hobby's included golf and baseball.

Gerard was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, and a Friend. He was a devoted Marine and a New York Met Fan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, calling hours are 2:00 to 4:30 and 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. ~

Family and friends are welcome to James Funeral Home, 540 Broadway, Massapequa, New York

on Friday, at at 10:00 a.m. before leaving for the Interment.

Interment ~ Long Island National Cemetery, 2040 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, New York ~
