

Beulah A. Hopper, 89, of Maysville, Kentucky died Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of Charles C. Hopper. Mrs. Hopper was a member of the First Christian Church in Maysville, KY and in her youth attended the Orangeburg School. She was born in Petersville, Kentucky on September 25, 1925 the daughter of the late John William Arthurs and Mary Belle Stidham Arthurs. Survivors include her two sons, Kenneth Bramel of Lexington, KY and Charles Hopper (Raye Jean) of Germantown, KY; her three daughters, Helen Kern (Pat) of Maysville, KY, Betty Wilkins (Jack) and Diane Silvey (Allen) both of Lexington, KY; six grandchildren, Dr. Allen Silvey, Jr, Dr. Brian Silvey, Carrie Watson, Emily Vice, Christopher Hopper and Sarah Hopper; nine great grandchildren; three brothers, Frank Arthurs (Ruby) and Carl Arthurs both of Vanceburg, KY and Roy Arthurs of Maysville, KY and one sister, Laura Applegate of Maysville, KY. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce Arthurs and Leon Arthurs. Funeral services for Beulah Hopper will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 19, 2015 with Rev. Larry Smith officiating. The interment in the Maysville Cemetery will be held privately with the family following the funeral service. Pallbearers will be Allen Silvey, Sr, Matt Vice, Christopher Hopper, Dr. Allen Silvey, Jr, Dr. Brian Silvey and Jack Wilkins. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, 18 East Third Street, Maysville, KY 41056.
