Doris Meadows Marshall

Doris Meadows Marshall, 87, of Maysville, KY died Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe. She was the widow of George Thomas Marshall who died in 1974. Mrs. Marshall was born in Stricklett, KY on February 17, 1927 the daughter of the late Roy Leland Meadows and Clara Kegley Conley. She was a devoted member of the Maysville Church of the Nazerene and the Senior Citizens and she worked in the dietary department of Hayswood Hospital and Meadowview Regional Medical Center for twenty-five years. She is survived by her son, Greg Marshall (Sandy) of Maysville, KY; two daughters, Ann Scott (Larry) of Russellville, OH and Kathy Grooms (Dennis) of Stout, OH; four granddaughters, Beth Ann Scott of Milford, OH, Paula Cenci (Kenny) of Russellville, OH, Sara Grooms Potts of Newark, OH and Cassidy Jordan Marshall of Maysville, KY; three great grandsons, Jacob, Alex and Noah Cenci; one sister, Thelma L. Ward of Aberdeen, OH] and one brother, Charles Meadows (Marcella) of Greensburg, IN; one aunt, Gladys Baker of Vanceburg, KY and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Meadows and Harry Meadows and one sister, Pauline Stambaugh. Funeral services for Doris Marshall will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 23, 2014 with Rev. Lonnie Blosser officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Kenny Cenci, Mark Meadows, Bill Marshall, Marty Mastin, Terry Barrett and John McNutt. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:30 PM until the hour of the service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056.
