

Harold Lowell Webb, 86, of Maysville passed away on December 19, 2015 at the Rockcastle Regional Respiratory Center. He was born on June 10, 1929, in Letcher County, Kentucky to the late Benjamin and Francis Vanover Webb. Mr. Webb received his B.A. and M. A. degrees from the University of Kentucky and served in the US Army during the Korean War. He had taught accounting in the Fayette County Schools and retired after twenty-three years as Dean of Business at Maysville Community College. He had been an active member of the national and regional associations of college business officers, Delta Pi Epsilon honor society for business educators and a member of the Maysville Lion’s Club. Mr. Webb was a forty-five year member of the First Presbyterian Church in Maysville, where he served several terms as both Deacon and Elder. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Patricia Jarvis Webb; his son, David Patrick Webb and daughter-in-law, Tina of Wayne, PA; his daughter, Susan Lowell Cronan and son-in-law, Richard of Abilene, TX; four grandchildren, Isabella, Lilliana and David Luca Webb and Maxwell Kidd; step grandson, Christian Cronan and his brother, Lonnie Webb of Lexington, KY. He was predeceased by seven brothers and three sisters. Funeral services for Harold Lowell Webb will be held at the First Presbyterian Church at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 23, 2015 with Rev. Laurie McKnight and Rev. Jim Dougans officiating. Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 5 to 7 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mason County Humane Society or to the First Presbyterian Church. The arrangements are under the direction of the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home.
