

Helen Miller Cooper 95, passed away February 23, 2013 at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. Mrs. Cooper was born in Connersville, IN on May 26, 1917 to the late Herby and Minnie Ellen Collins Miller. Mrs. Cooper was a charter member of the Maysville Church of the Nazarene, a sales clerk at the New York Store, and member of RSVP, she volunteered at the Meadowview Regional Medical Center for 20 years. Mrs. Cooper is survived by her two sons Paul Cooper and Douglas Cooper both of Maysville, five grandchildren Ann (Eric) Hook of Jefferson City, TN, Kelly (Chuck) Doughman of Maysville, Sherry (Buddy) Nelon of Black Mountain, NC, Shelly (John) DeGrandis of Ypsilanti, MI, and Michael Cooper of Tulsa, OK, also surviving are eight great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, her sister-in-law Marie Porter of Maysville and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Omar Lee Cooper, daughter-in-law Patricia Cooper, and her step-mother Gladys Mitchell Miller. Funeral services for Helen Cooper will be Thursday, February 28 at the Church of the Nazarene at 2 P.M. with Rev. Lonnie Blosser officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Cooper, Douglas Cooper, Chuck Doughman, J.C. Doughman, Ken Pickrell, and Ernie Hook. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service at the church.
