Karen Hay Combs

Born January 27, 1951, in Cincinnati, OH, she was the daughter of the late Asa Vernon Hay and Lucy Jones Hay.

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and Owner of the Toggery a child’s clothing store on West Second Street for 37 years and also worked at the cabinet for Health and Family Services for 25 years.

Her grandchildren meant the world to her and Karen always put others before herself.

Mrs. Combs is survived by her daughters; Christina Claire (Zach Moran) Combs and Alexa C. Watson; grandchildren; Zander Gabriel Watson and Johnnie Keith Moran and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sister Sally Hay Rogers and son-in-law Eric J. Watson.

A celebration of life service will be Thursday, June 9, 2016, 1PM at the Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Jinnett-Sack officiating. Visitation will be 11AM until the hour of service at the church.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Karen Hay Combs to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 26 West Third Street, Maysville, KY 41056 and The Life Center, 615 Elsinore Place, Cincinnati, OH 45202.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home.
