

A celebration of the life of Kathryn White will be held Monday, July 20, 2015 at Knox & Brothers Funeral Home, 625 East Second Street, Maysville, Kentucky. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with a service led by Rev. Mason Harrod pastor of the Orangeburg United Methodist Church beginning at 11:00 am.
Katie was born at Manchester, Ohio on November 23, 1929 the daughter of the late Otis and Minnie White Kinnett. She was the widow of James T. White who died August 19, 1990. The couple married on October 17, 1953. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Kinnett who died in early infancy.
Katie will be remembered as a loving friend to many and always had time to listen to others. She worked at G. C. Murphy in the early years, Kroger and then Clyde’s Super Valu from where she retired. As a Hospice volunteer after her husband passed, she would go anywhere and help as needed. She was with several patients when they passed and now Hospice was there for her.
Pallbearers will be Brian Furby, Roy Furby, Wayne Howe, Alan Henderson, Clay McCartney and Ronnie Grooms.
Honorary pallbearers include Jim Henderson, Bob Newell, Lawrence Tadlock and Jim White.
In honor of Katie’s memory, donations may be made to Orangeburg United Methodist Church c/o Treasurer, 7042 Mt. Gilead Rd., Maysville, KY 41056 or the Hospice of Hope Care Center, 1435 Kenton Pointe Way, Maysville, KY 41056.
