Lillian Jean Lawrence

Maysville – Lillian “Jean” Lawrence, 85, resident of Hendersonville, NC and formerly of Maysville, KY died Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the Elizabeth House Hospice in Flat Rock, NC. Jean attended Blueridge Community College and formerly was employed as a CNA in healthcare. Mrs. Lawrence was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Hendersonville, NC. She was born in Maysville, Kentucky on October 4, 1931 the daughter of the late Roy Albet O’Daire and Lesta Fleming O’Daire. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Riley “June” Lawrence, Jr. and her son Michael E. Lawrence of Mt. Kisco, NY; one sister, Joyce Gilbert (Eugene “Bud”) of Maysville, KY; one brother, Albert O’Daire (Barbara) of Flemingsburg, KY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Darlene Sue Lawrence. Funeral services for Jean Lawrence will be held at the Maysville Cemetery Chapel at 11:00 AM Friday, December 16, 2016 with Bob and Diana Lawrence officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Maysville Church of the Nazarene, 156 W. Maple Leaf Road, Maysville, KY 41056. The arrangements are entrusted to the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home.
