Morris Sparks

Morris Sparks, 72, resident of Marietta Georgia, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 in Marietta. He was born in Flemingsburg, Kentucky on June 24, 1940 the son of the late Elwood and Ruby Doyle Sparks. Mr. Sparks retired from IBM as a systems engineer. He is survived by his wife, Jean Fraley Sparks; two sons, Dr. Kenton L. Sparks (Cheryl) of Philadelphia, PA and Kelly Sparks (Becky) of Raleigh, NC; six grandchildren, Kaye, Nicholas, Emily, Cara, Molly and Peter Sparks. He is also survived by one sister, Carol Sparks Spencer (Gerald) of Lexington, Kentucky and his mother-in-law, Flossie Fraley of Moransburg. Funeral services will be held at the Lawrence Creek Christian Church at 11:30 AM, Monday, November 12, 2012 with Rev. Aaron A. Bastin officiating. Burial will be in the Charleston Bottom Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the church. The arrangements are under the direction of the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home.
