Nell Toncray Wilson

Nell Toncray Wilson, 99, of Maysville, Kentucky died peacefully at her home on Friday, July 21, 2017. Mrs. Wilson was the widow of Howard Lee “Bud”Wilson. The couple had been married for sixty-one years at the time of his death in 2005. She was formerly associated with Hendrickson’s Paint and Wallpaper and was subsequently the Women’s Fashion Manager for Montgomery Ward and then The Toggery. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Maysville First Christian Church where she served as the Sunday School Secretary for many years, was a graduate of the Maysville High School and attended the Cartmell Business School. She was born in Tollesboro, Kentucky on August 20, 1917 the daughter of the late John David Toncray and Bessie Henderson Toncray. She is survived by her son, Dr. Donald R. Wilson and his wife, Debbie of Maysville, KY; two grandchildren, K. Nicole Wilson of Lexington, KY and Andrew C. Wilson and his wife, Rachel of Rockville, MD and one sister, Mary Elliott of Fredericksburg, IN. Compassionate care and love was also given to her by Linda Brammer, Jodie Maddox, Sherri Riggs, Julia Qualls, Lisa Hook, Clara Ginn, Kaylie Fannin and the associates of Hospice of Hope. Besides her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Andrew Toncray and two sisters, Willena Boggs and Margaret Burke. Memorial services for Nell Wilson will be held at the Maysville First Christian Church at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 23, 2017 with Rev. David Massey-Brown officiating. The interment will be held privately for her family following the services. Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 11:30 AM until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Christian Church Memorial Fund, 18 East Third Street, Maysville, KY 41056 or to the choice of one’s charity. The arrangements are entrusted to the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home.
