Ruth Carol Baxter

Ruth C. Baxter, 83, of Maysville, Kentucky died October 3, 2016 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. She was the widow of Robert Baxter, Jr. who died March 22, 2013. Mrs. Baxter was a member of the Maysville Church of the Nazarene and Senior Friends. She formerly was an associate of the County Clerk’s office under the direction of C.T. Cotterill and was also a child care provider from her home. She was born in Mason County, Kentucky on July 29, 1933 the daughter of the late Dock Samuel McDaniel and Nola Ester Tucker McDaniel.

She is survived by her four children, Terry Baxter (Theresa), Kelly Baxter, Julie McGowan (James) and Michelle Bradford (Robert) all of Maysville, KY; ten grandchildren, Terrance Michael Baxter, Tabitha Baxter, Traci Baxter, Tyler Baxter, Joey Baxter, Jason Baxter, Jared Baxter, Dusty Williams, Aaron McGowan and Chase Bradford; eleven great grandchildren; one brother, Robert McDaniel and one sister, Barbara Sue Merritt both of Cincinnati, OH. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Samuel McDaniel, James C. McDaniel, Mavin Eudell McDaniel and Jack Sapp and her aunt, Janet Shepherd. Services for Ruth Baxter will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Friday, October 7, 2016 with Pastor Lonnie Blosser officiating. Burial will be in the Olivet Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Terrance Michael Baxter, Tyler Baxter, Joey Baxter, Jason Baxter, Jared Baxter, Aaron McGowan and Chase Bradford. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056.
