
Thelma “Pud” Lang, 82 of Bridge Street died Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at her residence. She was the widow of Earl C. Lang who died in 1969. Mrs. Lang was born in Maysville, Kentucky on June 24, 1929 the daughter of the late Gilbert and Nannie Elizabeth Smith Chambers. She worked for Hayswood Hospital and Meadowview Regional Medical Center and retired after a total of forty years combined with both businesses. Mrs. Lang was a member of the Church of the Nativity. She is survived by her daughter, Mary “Jackye” McGee and two sons, Eric Lang and Todd Lang all of Maysville; two grandchildren, Alissa “Buffy” McGee and Samantha “Jodie” Gilbert and great grandchild, Jonathan Gilbert II. She is also survived by one brother, George (Patsy) Chambers of Maysville. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Blanche Mae Chambers and Irene Murphy and four brothers, Alvin Williams, Raymond Williams, Eugene Runyon and James (Lillian) Williams. Memorial services for Thelma “Pud” Lang will be held at the Church of the Nativity at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 3, 2011 with Reverend Michael Henderson officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the services. The family will receive guest at Hunter Hall following the memorial service. The arrangements are entrusted to the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home.
