Mrs. Allene Marie Yancey, age 85 of McDonough, Georgia passed away April 13, 2016. She was born in Dillard, Nebraska to the late Albert and Lydia Wittig. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Yancey. Allene was a parishioner of Lord of Life Lutheran Church, where she had been very active until declining health. She enjoyed gardening flowers, shopping and quilting. Survivors include her children, David Benjamin of Kingsport, Tennessee and Deborah (Dave) Lenze of McDonough; grandchildren, Joshua, Holly and Nicole; brother, Milton Wittig of Dallas, Texas; sister, Esther Fisher of Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 18, 2016 at 11:00 am from the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 3250 Mt. Zion Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281. A private interment will follow.
