Annie Belle "Cook" Gray

Annie Belle "Cook" Gray, age 90, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022. She was born in Gillsville, Georgia on August 25, 1932 to the late Robert Lee and Clara Belle Smallwood. Annie is also preceded in death by her seven brothers, three sisters, two sons, J.T. Cook, Jr. and William Cook, two husbands, John Thomas Cook, Sr. and Charles Gray and her step-son Ernest Gray. She loved church and her family and enjoyed working and shopping. Annie was a seamstress and attended New Testament Baptist Church in Morrow, Georgia. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Jean Mobley of McDonough and her step-daughter, Brenda (Ricky) Finley of Rex. She has eight grandchildren, Lisa Howell of Palmetto, John Paul Mobley of McDonough, Heather Cook of Perry, Tiffany (Steve) Holcomb of Warner Robins, Tiffany Williams of Jackson, Savannah Cook of McDonough, Frances Finley and Matthew Finley. She also has eleven great grandchildren, Tyler Mobley, C.J. Howell, Daylon Howell, Tanner Mobley, Olivia Mobley, Austin Kimbrel, Chandler Donaldson, Hannah Brewer, Lexi Sanders, Makayla Brewer and Gauge Holcomb. Annie is survived by one sister, Dorothy Louise Keller of McDonough, GA and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. The viewing for Mrs. Gray will start at 11:00am on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, GA. Brother Curtis Turner and Dr. Bobby Shane Brooks will officiate the funeral service at 1:00pm in our chapel on Friday. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Forest Park, Georgia.
