

Mr. Arthur Loze, Jr., age 72 of Stockbridge, Georgia passed away January 4, 2015. He was born in Oyster Bay, New York, son of the late Arthur Loze, Sr. and Alice Walker Loze. He lived in Port Washington NY and Jamaica NY for most of his life. He moved to Georgia in 2004 in order to be closer to his grandsons. Arthur, also known as Artie and Pop Pop, was retired as a Maintenance Engineer Supervisor from JFK Airport. He then was owner of Loze Landscaping. Arthur was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Oyster Bay, NY and enjoyed sports, especially baseball. he loved to laugh and he loved people. He also was an avid current event news reader and "scrapbooker" of these events. His favorite quotes were "Be for real" & "That's what I'm talking about".Survivors include his daughters, Teresa Bennett and Cynthia (Leon) Gardner of Stockbridge, Georgia; grandsons, Brandon Jamison, Lamonte Gardner, Christopher Gardner, William Jamison and Emmanuel Gardner; siblings, Jacqueline Loze and Keith Loze both of Port Washington, NY, Alan (Maxine) Loze of Uniondale, NY; niece, Shadonna Loze; mother of his daughters, Frankie Mayes of Gaffney, SC; host of other family and friends. Memorial services will be conducted Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Trinity Chapel South, 1957 Highway 42 North, McDonough, Georgia 30252 with Dr. David J. Graham officiating.
