Billy Frank Yates, Jr., age 74, of Jonesboro, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. He was born on May 1, 1950 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Billy Frank Yates, Sr. and Sylvia Martin. Billy graduated from Henry County High School and attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. He enjoyed music and watching and going to NASCAR races. Mr. Yates was a plumber pipefitter supervisor and a member of the Local Union 72 for forty years and also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Hampton. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Denise Yates, children Billy (Laurie) Yates, III of Locust Grove, Heather Yates of McDonough, grandchildren, Ashley (Dylan) Cloud, Hannah (Garrett) Pettis, Caleb and Blake Campbell and Cayden Cloud. He is also survived by his sister, Julane Yates Mangham of Hampton and Marileigh Taylor of Jonesboro and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm - 4:00pm Sunday at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, March 17, 2025 in our chapel. Interment will follow at Berea Cemetery in Hampton, Georgia.
