Brenda Diane Bates

Brenda Diane Bates, age 69, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away October 29, 2021. Brenda was born August 17, 1952 in Griffin, Georgia to the late John Mabry and Erma Stewart. She was preceded in death by her step-father, A.J Brewer and by her sister, Teresa Cole. Brenda was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. She met her husband while working for Thurston Motor Lines and then worked for Valujet, Concentra Medical and most recently, Legacy Ford. Brenda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and always put others needs first before hers. Survivors include her husband of nearly 39 years, Wayne Bates; daughter, Stephanie Kronewitter; grandchildren, Ariel (Keaton) Beer and Zachary McLean; great grandchildren, Barron Beer and Arabella Beer; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2021 - 2:00 PM at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro. Rev. Tom Miller will officiate. The family requests that all attending the service please dress casually as this is what Brenda would have wanted. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to Wayne to assist in Brenda's overwhelming medical expenses.
