Carl Morris

Carl Morris, age 94, of Stockbridge, Georgia passed away June 22, 2023. He was born October 15, 1928 to the late Joseph Cicero Morris and Julia Lee Morris of McDonough, Georgia. He is also preceded in death by beloved wife, Christine Morris; sons, Danny Morris and Kenny Morris, siblings, Mary, James, William, Carlton and Joe. Carl was an avid outdoorsman with a passionate love for fishing and hunting. He enjoyed growing watermelons in his garden and making homemade ice cream. He was a marvelous guitarist and played gospel and country music. One of his favorite snacks to eat was cornbread and milk and he enjoyed dining at Buckner's. Mr. Morris was the owner and operator of Morris Trucking for over 50 years of outstanding service to his community. Carl is survived by sons, Gary (Becky) Morris of Locust Grove, Georgia and Jerry (Eleanor) Morris of Fayetteville, Georgia; daughters, Marcia Morris of Jackson, Georgia and Carol Morris of Jackson, Georgia; 15 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Haisten Funerals and Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, Georgia 30253. Friends may visit the family from 12:00pm - 1:30pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park in McDonough.
