Carolyn Pearson Byrd

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Jimmy Byrd, and her sister, Joyce Harris of New Market, Alabama. Carolyn is survived by her three children: Tony Byrd (Lynn), Lisa Sadler (Tim), and Kellie Young (Matt); five grandchildren: T.J. Byrd, Baylee Satterfield (Dustin), Sydney Warfel, Tim Sadler, Trey Sadler, and one great-grandchild, Hudson Satterfield. She is also survived by her brother, Floyd "Eugene" Pearson of Huntsville, Alabama, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Carolyn's greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She and her husband shared a love for travel and many memorable trips to the casino. She also loved shopping for new clothes and always had an eye for fashion. Carolyn was known for her spirited personality and deep devotion to Elvis Presley—proudly his biggest fan.

Her warmth, humor, and love for family will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Georgia. A Celebration of Life will follow on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., also at Haistens Funeral Home.
