Mr. Chad Levi Sheppard, age 36 of McDonough, Georgia passed away February 29, 2016. He was born in Riverdale, Georgia to Carl J. Sheppard and the late Rose Marie Thackston Sheppard. Chad enjoyed paintball, barrel racing and flying RC helicopters, airplanes and racing RC cars. Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Jamie Childree Sheppard; father, Carl “Buddy” Sheppard; grandmother, Lou Thackston all of McDonough; in laws, Bobby and Jane Childree of Ladonia, AL; niece, Olivia Connelly of Columbus; Aunt and uncle, David and Beth Thackston of Stockbridge, Aunt, Carol Moore of Conyers, cousins, Teresa Dawn Moore of Conyers, Daniel Thackston of Stockbridge and Megan Thackston Allen of Florida. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 7:30 pm from Oakland Baptist Church. Rev. Mike Smith will officiate. Friends may visit the family Thursday from 5:00 – 7:30 pm prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (www.cff.org.) in memory of Chad.
