

Diane was born in Decatur, Georgia and lived near Atlanta all her life. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, she lived a life grounded in faith, service, and love for others. Her strong Christian beliefs guided her daily life and were evident in the kindness, patience, and grace she extended to everyone she met.
Diane dedicated almost 50 years to educating children as an English and Spanish teacher, touching countless lives through her commitment, compassion, and belief in the potential of every student. Teaching was more than a profession for her—it was a calling, and she carried it out with joy.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Harry Pittman; brother, David Lemming (Mary); sister, Cheryl Yarbrough (David); her son, John Pittman (Zhannetta); and her treasured grandchildren, Brooke, Kinley, Edward, and Daniel, who brought her endless pride and happiness.
A service to celebrate Diane’s life will be held at 1:00pm on January 19, 2026 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, with interment to follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather in gratitude for a life well lived and comforted by the promise of eternal life through faith.
Diane’s legacy of love, dedication, and quiet strength will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.
