Edna Gilmer, 79 of Fayetteville passed away on April 21, 2026. She was born June 4, 1946, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Hugh and Opal Banks. Edna was also preceded in death by her husbands, R.L. Dukes and Jack Smith, sister, Louise Orr, son Rick Dukes and daughter Jackie Jessup. Edna enjoyed sewing, crafting, reading, traveling and spending time with family. She is survived by her grandchildren, Kevin (Mallory) Dukes, Kyle (Sarah) Dukes, Dakota (Megan) Tyler, Lauren (Josh) Sconyers. Great grandchildren Noah, Grayson, Scarlett, Kinsley, Lucy, Lucas, Mabel, Penelope and Jonah. Also, step-son, Randy Smith and numerous nieces and nephews and special companion, Abbey. The family will greet friends from 11:00am - 12:00pm on Friday April 24, 2026 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough. Services will be held in our chapel at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Stockbridge, GA.
