Edward Buster Eugene Creel

Mr. Edward Eugene Creel, more commonly known as “Buster”, age 70, of Jenkinsburg, Georgia passed away November 9, 2016. Buster was born in Atlanta, GA the son of the late Bertha Elizabeth Scott and John Edward Creel. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Lamar Creel and a sister, Diane Creel Smith. He was a retired electrician with the IBEW Local Union 613. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, spoiling his grandchildren, playing golf, hunting, playing poker and being a union representative.

Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Teresa Bartlett Creel of Jenkinsburg; daughters, Angela Gail Escobar of Statesboro, Brandy Michelle Slattery(Randy) of Griffin, and Caren Belle Fryer (Matt) of Jenkinsburg; 11 grandchildren, Randy, Jessica, Dustin, Austin, Dylan, Alexis, Kayla, Jackson, Gabby, Sara-Grace, and Tristan; 1 great grandchild, Carson; siblings, John Edward Creel, Jr., Lynn Creel, Joann Creel and David Creel; sister-in-laws, Gail Ertz and Lynn Foster; brother-in-law, Murphy Bartlett; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Buster will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 beginning at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Murphy Bartlett and Dustin Koch officiating. The family will receive friends briefly after the memorial service. For those who wish in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
