Mrs. Elaine Daniel, age 80 of Hampton, Georgia passed away March 1, 2021. She was born in Hampton, Georgia to the late Newt and Rose Hand Coker. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Newton Daniel. She was a lifetime member of Hampton United Methodist Church. She graduated from Hampton High School and attended Massey Business college in Atlanta. For over 15 years she worked in the retail jewelry industry at Miller & Rhodes in Richmond, Va. and Rich’s in Atlanta, Ga. Elaine is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles H. Daniel and her two daughters, Connie E. Daniel of Charlotte, NC and Amy S. Daniel of Atlanta, Ga., also by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service for Elaine will be held on Friday March 5, 2021 at 2:30 pm at the Hampton United Methodist Church with Dr. Jordan Thrasher officiating. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service. Interment will be at Berea Cemetery in Hampton. For those who wish in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Elaine to the Hampton United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, Samaritans Purse or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
