I’m sorry Laura wouldn’t let us stay in touch. We have a lot to talk about when we meet again

Gene was my next-door neighbor. He and Laura often sat on the front porch and we would greet each other as I came and went. I enjoyed trying out my new dad jokes on Gene.  He had a quick wit and was not a big laugher. He would just smile and nod his head in approval. Although he was often in pain and discomfort, I never heard him complain. Gene could get abrasive, but I knew what his buttons were so we got along great. Patty and I will greatly miss him … we do already.

You will be greatly missed from so many hearts. Save us a spot at the party table, see you someday. 💔🙏🏻💔

We are sadden by the passing of our friend Gene. He will be missed. We send prayers of comfort and peace for Laura and the family.
