Evelyn Marie Brown

Mrs. Evelyn Marie Brown, age 85 of McDonough, Georgia passed away February 27, 2019. She was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Ollie Clifton and Lura Edith Farris Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Richard David Brown, Sr. Granny, as she was known, worked for Shoney’s for 40 years and enjoyed sewing, reading, working puzzle books and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Cynthia (Barry) Hamlin of Panama City Beach, FL, Phyllis (Vicente) Ajoy of Hampton, Dorma (Timothy) Blount of Thomaston, Richard (Tammie) Brown, Jr. of McDonough and Rebecca Brown of Zebulon; eighteen grandchildren, forty two great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 1, 2019 – 2:00 PM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service. Interment will be Saturday, March 2, 2019 – 2:00 PM CST at the Boone Cemetery in Berry, Alabama.
