
Mr. Garnett Floyd Freeman, better known as Gary, age 85, of Hampton, Georgia passed away on November 30, 2016. He was born in Cleveland, Georgia to the late Millard Floyd Freeman and Annie Mae Allison Freeman. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his sister, Rosalee Ash, and a great-grandson, Austin Freeman. Gary was a truck driver for over 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and classic cars. Gary was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. He will be remembered for his love and care shown to his family.
Gary leaves behind his devoted wife of 68 years, Beatrice Freeman; son, Gary Michael Freeman and his wife, Cindy; grandchildren: Chris Freeman and his wife, Julie; Cody Freeman and his wife, Cassie; and Dana Freeman; great-grandchildren: Brianna Freeman; Nolan Hagemeyer; Chace Cockrum; sisters: Barbara Hawkins and her husband, Howard; Lamerle Edwards and her husband, Frank; and Nell Wigley; brother, Earl Freeman; and several extended family members and friends.
Family and friends will gather for a service to celebrate Gary’s life on Saturday, December 3, 2016 beginning at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Pastor Mike Henderson will be officiating. Interment will follow the service at Eastlawn Memorial Park in McDonough. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service.
