Harold Ellis Strickland, age 85, of Hampton, Georgia passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021. Harold was born March 9, 1936 in Hampton, Georgia to the late Barney and Erma Strickland. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Myra Strickland, a brother Robert Strickland and his sister Joy Acker. Harold enjoyed fishing, his grandkids and their sports, yardwork, small engine repair and Atlanta sports. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran and a CDL instructor at Griffin Tech. Mr. Strickland is survived by his children, Angela Strickland (Scott) Patterson of Port Ludlow, Washington, Alan (Barb) Strickland of Locust Grove, GA and Steve (Tammy) Strickland of Peachtree City, GA. Five grandchildren, Jewelia (Perry) Gahan, Christa (Glen) Fox, Ella Strickland, Zac Lesher and Katie (Mike) Casey. Two great grandchildren, Amelia Gahan and Tucker Fox. Also, Harold's girlfriend of twenty years, Marilyn Ardd of Hoschton, GA. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Georgia.
