Helen Graham Thomas

Mrs. Helen Graham Thomas, age 78, of Hampton, Georgia passed away August 31, 2014. Mrs. Thomas was born in Carlton, GA the daughter of the late George and Leona Carter Graham. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Patrick Thomas and siblings, Kelly Graham, Wallace Graham and Carolyn Agee. Mrs. Thomas was a member of McDonough Christian Church and a previous member of Redwine United Methodist Church in Oakwood, GA. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, sewing, entertaining, bridge and when she was younger playing basketball. Survivors are her children; Debbie Bryant (Norris) of Lexington, SC, Mike Thomas (Lisa) of Hampton, Keith Thomas (Theresa) of Moultrie; grandchildren, Becky Skelley (Ben), Meagan Yount (Tim), Joy Johnson (Travis), Anna Thomas, Mallory Thomas, Brian Kirkland, and Eric Kirkland; great grandchildren, Grant, Gracie and Will; twin sister, Ellen Holcomb (George) of Hiwassee; brother, George Graham of Oxford; sister-in-laws, Hazel Graham of Flowery Branch and Doris Callaway of Crawford; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Mrs. Thomas will be Tuesday, September 2, 2014 – 11:00 AM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Leslie and Rev. Andy Whitt officiating. Interment will follow at the Clark Cemetery in Lexington, GA at 3:30 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 4 – 6:00 PM.
