Jackie Lamar Williamson

Jackie Lamar Williamson,(JW) age 68, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 surrounded by his family. Jackie was born in Summerville Georgia to parents Laura Carroll Sims and Charlie Williamson on January 9, 1956. Jackie lived in Locust Grove, Georgia with his wife Diane. They enjoyed their lives together and loved each other so much. Jackie enjoyed fishing and hunting, playing cornhole and spending time with family. He loved all sports especially the Atlanta Braves and college football. He loved his Auburn Tigers, WDE! Jackie was a simple man and had great joy in just living in the moment. Jackie was preceded by his parents and his brother Stanley Sims. Survivors include his loving wife, Diane Williamson. Children and Step Children, Daughter Jill Brooks ( Shane), Son Jeffery Williamson ( Stefanie), Daughter Ashley Prothro ( Greg) , Step Daughter Katrina O'Leary ( Chris) and Step Daughter Kristin Norman. Grandchildren and Step Grandchildren, Onna (Cole) McClelland, Leviticus Brooks, Sarah Brooks, Elijah Williamson, Alivia Prothro, Amaya Prothro and Emma Prothro. Donavin (Cassidy) O'Leary, Jordan (McKayla) O'Leary, Aislinn O'Leary Jacob (Summer) Cowe and Victoria Cowe, Sage Carroll. 11 great grandchildren: Brantley McClelland; Easton, Avery, Rusty, Maverick, Aspyn, Anastyn and Crimsyn O'Leary Raylen and Briella Hawkins, and Mary Cowe. Sisters, Debra (David) Maddox and Shannon (Frank) Clark. Brothers, Richard Williamson and Rick Williamson. Step Mother, Joan Williamson, step father Lewis Sims. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Some he thought of as his own, Jennifer Bishop, Josh, Jordan and Tabitha Sims.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Indian Springs State Park(Group Shelter) 678 Lake Clark Rd Flovilla, GA. 30216 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. We will celebrate his life with the things he loved. Corn hole, fishing horse shoes, swimming etc. Family and friends enjoying time together.

He loved many and was loved by many.He will truly be missed.
