Billy loved playing baseball as a child (especially when his dad was his coach). His love of sports would remain with him as he played both football and basketball at Avondale High School and while playing badminton as a student at DeKalb College he would meet his soul mate Lynn.
Billy began a career in sales for automative paint and supplies, eventually opening his own business- Billy's Body Supplies (BBS). Later on, Billy sold his business but continued his career in automotive paint sales.
After having their daughter Angie in 1976, Billy and Lynn moved to a farm where they raised and showed horses. Billy was a huge nature and animal lover, especially when it came to horses.
Billy enjoyed time spent playing golf, hunting, anything outdoors, traveling, NASCAR, GA Tech sports, and all thing baseball and Atlanta Braves.
Above all else, Billy was a huge family man. "His girls" - Lynn, Angie, and Madison- were his world. He loved his family more than anything and would do anything for them or his friends.
Billy's memory and legacy lives on through his wife of 53 years, Lynn Bourn, daughter Angie (Mark) Phillips, granddaughter Madison Phillips and his sister Diane Long. He is also survived by his niece, nephews, sisters-in-law, cousins, and extended family.
