James Charlie Looney III

James Charlie Looney III, 77 of Mansfield, GA passed away on December 31, 2025. He was born in Atlanta on March 25, 1948 to James and Winifred Looney. Mr. Looney was preceded in death by his father, James C. Looney, Jr. He was a Navy Vietnam Veteran serving from 1967 - 1970. He enjoyed watching the Georgia Bulldogs and fishing at Lake Jackson. James was a longtime Pipefitter with the Local 72 and retired after 54 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Brenda Looney, sons Chad (Lisa) Looney, McDonough, GA, Jason (Jennifer) Looney of Daphney, AL, mother; Winifred Looney of Stockbridge, GA, grandchildren Katey & Terry Himebrook, Alicia & Stephen Anderson, Morgan & Tessa Looney, Sidney & Gardner Shearhouse, Reid and Ryan Looney and Logan and Annalyn. and six Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Carolyn McEver, Brenda Price, Joan Wright and Janet Adams. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm - 2:00pm on Sunday, January 4, 2026. Services will be held in our chapel at 2:00pm, Haisten Funerals and Cremations in McDonough. Interment will follow at Jenkinsburg City Cemetery.
