Jan graduated from Henry County High School and went on to be the program manager of the safety net unit at the MCC division of the Georgia Department of Public Safety.
Jan was a loving wife, mother, sister, MiMi and friend to so many. She is survived by her husband of nearly 41 years, Kenneth Randall Childers, as well as her parents Jimmy & Daphine Brooks; step daughters Sandy Smith and Ginger Keown; brother Rocky Brooks and his wife Tina Brooks; son Josh and his wife, Lauren and their son, Michael; nephew Daniel Brooks, his wife Ashley Brooks and their daughters Aubrey and Avery; niece Shiloh Brooks
Memorial service will be held at Watermark Church, 1440 Brookwood Ave, Jackson, GA 30233 on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation in Jan’s name be made to the American Heart Association.
