Jennie Lee Burdette, age 71, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. She was born in Jackson, GA to the late Leonard and Dorthy Singley. Jennie was also preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Ray Burdette. They married when Jenny was 17 years old and she was an outstanding mother, cooking and caring for her family. She was always smiling and taking care of everyone, including the extended family, and they all loved her for that. She enjoyed gardening and being outdoors and tending to or planting her flowers. She liked listening to country music and taking fishing trips to the coast with the family. Jennie is survived by her two children, Bryant (Maryann) Burdette of Locust Grove and Melissa Burdette Masson (Robert) of Forsyth, grandchildren, Nathan Burdette, Chandler Masson and Porter Annis, and one sister Sheila (Freddy) Williams of Barnesville and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, November, 14, 2022 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Georgia.
