Jesse Clifford Sims, age 97 passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025. He was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Jesse Sr. and Ida Sims. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 77 years, Jean G. Sims and daughter in-law Diane Sims.
Jesse is survived by his two sons James Sims Sr. and Jeff (Marsha) Sims; four grandchildren Janie (Arnold) Sims, Cliff (Brandy) Sims, Jason (Shelley) Wingard, and Jody Wingard; her nine great grandkids Brittney, Hunter, Alexis, McKinley, Hadley, Rebekah, Luke, Hannah, and Caleb; one great great grandchild Ysabelle and many other beloved family members and friends.
He was a US merchant marine and retired after 40 years from Georgia Power Company.

A visitation for Jesse will be on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, Georgia 30253. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at the Locust Grove City Cemetery, Highway 42 S, Locust Grove, Georgia.
