John Pate Thatcher

Mr. John Pate Thatcher, age 66 of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away August 22, 2015. He was born in Mountain View, Arkansas to Edna Henderson Thatcher and the late Robert Thatcher. Johnny faithfully served his country in the United States Marines Corps during the Vietnam War. He was an electrician his whole working career and was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed NASCAR, billiards, hunting and listening to old country music. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Becky Thatcher of Locust Grove, GA; sons, Robert Thatcher of Rincon, GA, Anthony Thatcher of Jackson, GA, Michael (Veronica) Thatcher of Temple, TX; mother, Edna Thatcher of Mountain View, AR; grandchildren, Alex, Ben, Anastasia, Evan, Layla, Angelica, Lazarus and Bentley; siblings, Bernice Livingston of Jonesboro, GA, Joe Thatcher of Mountain View, AR, Delores (Tom) Jerome of Eudora, KS, Peggy (Mike) Tinkle of Hot Springs, AR. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 4:00 pm from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
