Mr. Johnny Lamar Smith, age 69 of Hampton, Georgia passed away December 7, 2017. He was born in Porterdale, Georgia to the late Walter Lamar and Dorothy Lee Barclay Smith. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Lee Smith. Johnny faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He worked for 18 years for General Motors and another 18 years with Benton Express. He was a member of the former Parkway Baptist Church in Forest Park and enjoyed exercise. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Hall Smith; niece and nephew, Christy and Jeffrey and numerous other nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 – 2:00 PM at the Music Hall, 3005 Idlewood Road, Conyers, GA. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisten Funeral Home of McDonough.
